I can’t say enough good things about these guys. They built a screened in porch for me this past winter and did a great job. Van is very easy to work with and his crew is professional.
Our team has been building outdoor spaces around Wake Forest since 2004. Every estimate is free, and we come out to walk the project with you in person.

Vance spent his early years on a framing crew before starting Deck By Deck. The work he enjoys most is the complicated kind: multi-level decks, lake piers, and walking bridges through wetlands where the planning matters as much as the building.
We build with pressure-treated lumber and with the different composite decking lines, and every job ends the same way, with the site cleaned up and a walkthrough with you before we call it finished.

Wood and composite decks, single or multi-level, set on poured footings and framed to last.
Deck Building
Roof, shingles, screens, ceiling boards, lighting, and gutters, all handled by the same crew.
Screened Porches
Front porches, gable additions, and covered porches tied into the roofline of your home.
Covered Porches
Lake piers, fishing docks, and gazebos, with posts driven on site and railings built to your choice.
Docks & PiersEvery deck we build follows the same order. Nothing gets covered up until the part underneath it is right, which is why we like to show you the framing as well as the finished boards.

We walk the yard with you, hear what you have in mind, and put together a free estimate.

Once you approve, lumber is delivered, footings are dug and poured, and support posts are set.

We frame the perimeter band, install the joists, and add all the hardware the build calls for.

Boards go down, then the railing style you picked and any steps the layout needs.

Debris goes to the landfill, and we walk the finished job with you before collecting payment.

On a large job not long ago, a shipment of decking boards and railings came in damaged, and the supplier would not stand behind it. We ordered new boards and replaced every damaged rail and post so the homeowner got the deck they paid for.
That is how we handle every project. If something is not right, it gets fixed.
